LOAN AND GIFT FUND
One of the major ongoing
projects of the NCLMM is to assist new Lutheran congregations in North
Carolina in constructing church buildings. We do this by providing low
interest loans through our Loan and Gift Fund. As loans are repaid, the
money is then loaned out to other new congregations. The NCLMM seeks to
continually raise money for this fund so that more money will be
available to build more Lutheran churches in North Carolina.
This fund is managed by the
Home Mission Foundation, which is a separate nonprofit corporation that
was created by the NCLMM for this purpose. Presently, the foundation
makes loans of up to 200,000 dollars with a 20 year term. As long as
loan payments are kept current the congregation is only charged 2.0%
interest. As we receive more gifts of money into this fund, we hope to
be able to make more loans and larger loans. All contributions to the
Loan and Gift Fund are welcome.
